Do you feel dissatisfied with how your teeth appear or are you embarrassed to smile? Discolorations, cracks, chips, and gaps can occur over time and make your smile less than stunning and can cause feelings of self-consciousness. All of these issues and more can be treated with natural-looking porcelain veneers and Lumineers®. No matter what you are looking to correct in your smile, these options can be used to fix a wide range of dental imperfections and are one of the most versatile treatment options available today. Veneers and Lumineers offer a conservative, low-risk approach to changing the shape, size, and color of your teeth.
“It’s very common for a patient to come in and want their teeth fixed or whitened. If it is a matter of discolored teeth that are very discolored from tooth to tooth that are somewhat misshapen but fairly good alignment we may choose veneers. ”
Richard Steinberg, DDS
Veneers and Lumineers are thin, semi-translucent shells of porcelain that are attached to the front surface of the teeth to conceal imperfections, and can give your smile attractive symmetry in as little as two appointments. These customized restorations are crafted to match the size, shape, and color of your teeth to create a look that complements your natural beauty and facial structure. While veneers may need the front surface of the tooth enamel to be slightly altered before placement, Lumineers are thinner and can be bonded to the tooth without any alterations. The main benefits of these cosmetic options are:
Durability-Porcelain is very strong and resistant to chipping and cracking.
Stain Resistance-Veneers and Lumineers are highly resistant to staining, even more than your natural enamel.
Natural Look-Porcelain is translucent like natural tooth enamel for a more natural appearance.
Customization-Porcelain can be correctly matched to virtually any tooth color or shade.
Comprehensiveness- Veneers and Lumineers can address several aesthetic issues at once, including stains, chips, cracks, excessive spacing, slight crookedness, and more.
